PAT WEAVER BIOGRAPHY

     Pat Weaver is a National Watercolor Teacher with 39 years of teaching experience. Art education is through workshops and being self-taught. Studied with nationally known artist Claude Croney, Daniel Greene, Ted Georschner, Marilyn Simandle, Don Andrews, Charles Sovek, Robert Bateman,Betty Lou Schlem and John Seerey-Lester. She is a past President and Signature Life Member of the Florida Watercolor Society, Signature Member of Georgia Watercolor Society, . Associate Member of National Watercolor and Society of Animal Artists. Pat is a - former Mayor and City Commissioner of Dade City, Florida. Past President of the Chamber of Commerce. Founder and Past President of the Downtown Redevelopment, Florida Main Street Program.  She is a Dade City native, married to Glenn Weaver. Pat has two children Todd and Melissa, 4 step Children and 11 grandchildren. She was published in Spring Edition of Watercolor 96, American Artist. Fall Edition of Watercolor ‘97, The Artists Magazine, September, 2001. Featured artist in Splash 7, 2002 and Splash 9. Splash 11 Featured Artist with Articles and demos in Daniel Smith Summer Catalog, 2003, Daniel Smith Ink Spot Catalog, Feb. 2004, Daniel Smith Ink Spot, 2005. Pat is a featured artist in the book “Flowers & Blooms”, The Watercolorists Answer Book”, “Cats and Dogs”. She was recently featured in Tampa Bay Magazine and is the featured Artist for “The Little Everglades Steeple Chase”. Recipient of People’s Choice Award at the Florida Watercolor Exhibition, Sarasota, Fl. 2007, juried into Southern Watercolor Exhibition, Georgia 2007 And 47^th Annual Exhibition at the Wildlife Experience, Society of Animal Artists, 2007. Featured in onafide Mutt Magazine with dog artist Ron Burns and New Barker Magazine, June 2009. Award Florida Watercolor Society 2009. Juried into the Florida Watercolor Society Exhibition 2011.

   Pat’s hardback book on watercolor titled “Watercolor Simplified” was published by North Light Books Publishing, F&W Publications, Cincinnati, Ohio 2003. This book is also co-published by David & Charles, London and is distributed throughout Europe and Australia. Available from Amazon. She was featured in the Artists’ Sketchbook Magazine, June 2005.     Pat has a wonderful and spacious 1500 square foot studio next to her home,, which is located on 35 Acres of beautiful rolling hills in Dade City, Florida. She has a vigorous schedule teaching at various Venues throughout the United States, England, France, Italy, Spain, the Bahamas and Mexico.
